Adventurous jobseekers given unique opportunity to meet with hiring cruise companies at The Cruise Job Fair

For many ambitious and adventurous jobseekers, working on a cruise liner is a dream position. With the chance to travel the world, meet people from across the globe and earn a living, it’s easy to see why it’s such an attractive prospect.

The Cruise Job Fair is coming to London on 22 May 2017 and will give those with a serious case of wanderlust and passion for the travel and hospitality industry a unique chance to meet directly with recruiters from a range of cruise companies.

The hiring environment for the cruise industry is highly competitive but the Cruise Job Fair, sponsored by Viking Cruises, helps jobseekers to get ahead. Filled with recruiters, cruise line representatives, career advisors and training providers available for face to face meetings, the event is a chance to put CVs in the hands of decision makers and attend pre-interviews. For those that really impress, they could be heading home with an invitation to their dream job.

Jay Dravecky, Managing Director of Webix, organisers of Cruise Job Fair, said, “The cruise industry offers an incredibly diverse range of jobs for those that want to travel. It’s a unique sector that gives candidates a massive range of opportunities, positions and training options. This diversity can mean that candidates who want to work on a cruise ship struggle to get noticed in the crowd. On the flip side, we know that recruiters also find it a challenge to identify suitable prospective employees from such a large talent pool. The Cruise Job Fair solves both those problems, giving recruiters a direct line to talented individuals, and job seekers a vibrant platform to network and impress.”

The London-based event already has an impressive array of exhibitors, including 15 cruise lines and instantly recognisable names such as Costa Cruises, Cunard and Disney Cruise Line. It’s not just the growing collection of industry names that makes the event appealing. The complete programme is yet to be released but it will include educational talks given by recruiters, a CV clinic and much more.

Dravecky added, “Last year’s Cruise Job Fair was visited by 750 candidates looking for work onboard cruise ships. We’re confident that this year’s event will be equally successful.”

The Cruise Job Fair will take place in London on 22 May 2017 at the Business Design Centre. The event is free to enter but eager jobseekers can book their ticket now to avoid disappointment due to limited spaces.
