Marella Cruises Announces First Ever Onboard Partnership With Uk’s Favourite Spa, Champneys
The UK’s third largest cruise line Marella Cruises has announced a new onboard partnership with the UK’s biggest and original health spa, Champneys. The collaboration will be a first for both customer-favourite brands.
From May 2018, customers on board the latest ship in the Marella Cruises fleet, Marella Explorer, will experience ultimate relaxation in the new, state-of-the-art onboard spa. Typical of UK Champneys resorts, the luxurious spa will feature a full treatment menu, including facials, body wraps, massages, manicures, acupuncture and more, as well as a salon, wellness centre and stylish relaxation room that boasts comfortable beds complete with stunning panoramic views.
Distribution and Cruise Director at TUI UK & Ireland, parent company of Marella Cruises, Helen Caron, said: “We’re delighted to announce this partnership with Champneys onboard our fantastic new addition Marella Explorer. We’re proud to be known for the friendliest service at sea and Champneys’ world-class service really mirrors this. Our ships offer holidaymakers a relaxing home from home that they can return to following a full day of exploring a destination and this new introduction onboard Marella Explorer will ensure they can fully unwind in luxury onboard.”
Stephen Purdew, Champneys co-owner said: “We are thrilled to be working with Marella Cruises from next year, offering the very best Champneys spa experience onboard Marella Explorer. We’re confident that our state-of-the-art spa will bring even more enjoyment to guests’ holidays and can’t wait to hear about their experiences.”
In addition to four resorts and a spa hotel, Champneys also operate six city spas, two colleges and a range of globally recognised products.
Based in Palma, Majorca from May 2018, Marella Explorer offers even more choice, space and flexibility for customers, including two new cabin types and a wider choice of dining and premium entertainment.
Entering the fleet as Marella Cruises’ biggest ship yet, Marella Explorer introduces new bars, Indigo and Aperitif; Scoops, an ice-cream parlour with quirky bicycle-themed seating; and The Lounge, a new venue complete with colour-changing bar and signature brightly coloured piano, where customers can relax and listen to live music. Marella Explorer will also showcase ten dining venues including the ever-popular Surf & Turf, Kora La and Snack Shack, as well as new additions Umi Sushi and The Mediterranean.
