Cruise & Maritime Voyages adds a cricketing theme to two cruises this October
CMV is extending the appeal of two cruises this October by adding a cricketing theme. Magellan departs from Bristol Port 22 October on a 6 nights European Cities & Rivers cruise visiting Rouen in France, Antwerp and Amsterdam.
Columbus sets sail from London – Tilbury on a European Cities Break cruise for 5 nights that includes Amsterdam, Antwerp and Hamburg.
CMV have booked many top names including David Gower, Mike Gatting, Devon Malcolm and Joel Garner from the world of cricket. Depending on which cruise you take, it includes a strong line up of former England cricketing stars plus past county cricket legends from Essex and other counties. Popular TV presenter Nick Hancock from Sky TV’s They think it’s all over will also be on hand to see fair play.
Onboard Magellan cruising from Bristol will be legend David Gower OBE, Malcolm Nash, Dean Headley, Joel Garner, Mark Alleyne and Jack Shanty. Onboard Columbus, sailing from London Tilbury, will be Devon Malcolm, Mike Gatting OBE, Alan Wells, Ray East, Graham Napier and John Lever MBE. Guests will be able to watch big screen cricket highlights, see TV style quizzes on Cricket with team representatives of the former players. And, meet and talk to the players in the Taverners Pub.
The Lord’s Taverners is the charity partner for this cruise whose mission is to enhance the prospects of disadvantaged and disabled young people using cricket and other forms of sport and recreation to engage with them.
Sailing from Bristol on 22nd October, Magellan takes a leisurely voyage along the River Seine to the beautiful city of Rouen made famous by artist Monet and Joan of Arc. This cruise also visits Amsterdam and Antwerp before sailing back to London – Tilbury where a coach transfer (£25pp) can take you back to Bristol.
