Crystal Unveils Episode 3 of ‘Culinary Journeys’ Video Series Exploring Adelaide, Australia
Crystal Cruises has released the third episode in its 12-part video series highlighting the flavors of the world, this time featuring Adelaide, Australia.
In the latest installment of “Crystal Cruises Presents: A Culinary Journey Hosted by Chef Jon Ashton,” the celebrity chef samples Adelaide’s local honey and olive oil, guided by local food expert Mark Gleeson.
From a local hive of more than 20,000 bees to Adelaide’s oldest public market, viewers can follow the journey from shore to ship, as Chef Ashton returns to Crystal Serenity with his learnings to create a dessert inspired by the featured ingredients.
Chef Ashton and Crystal’s own Executive Pastry Chef, Harold Neufgang, collaborate to create a delectable olive oil cake with homemade honey gelato, taste-tested by Crystal entertainers before being served to guests in Waterside.
Visiting an array of locales around the world with Crystal Serenity, the “Culinary Journey” video series features local chefs, farmers and expert guides showcasing the signature dishes – and tips for preparing them – in an array of locales, taking him and viewers off the beaten paths into the heart of each place’s culinary spirit. The videos air every two weeks, published on Crystal’s Crystal Insider blog and/or Crystal Cruises’ YouTube channel.
