Heritage Expeditions actively plans Southern Ocean 2020-21 Season
Pioneering small-ship expedition cruise company Heritage Expeditions has confirmed that while it has proactively paused all expedition operations until 28 September 2020, it is actively working on plans for a resumption of its exploration voyages during the Southern Summer season.
In conjunction with this planning it has announced a reduced, refundable US$1,500 deposit for all new 2020-21 Southern Ocean reservations.
General Manager David Bowen said that as there were still some opportunities available for guests to join select sailings during the company’s Subantarctic and Antarctic season, it had introduced a new deposit policy for bookings on departures between November 2020 and February 2021.
In order to simplify the process and provide reassurance, Heritage Expeditions is confirming all new 2020-21 Southern Ocean reservations upon payment of a refundable, US$1,500 deposit per person until July 31 2020.
On September 1 2020, the balance of the deposit will be due and the standard conditions of sale, as indicated in Heritage Expeditions’ terms and conditions, will apply.
To further reassure guests during this time, Heritage Expeditions is reiterating its Funds Protection Promise which guarantees the security of guests’ funds which are held in a separate trust account, and only used for their future travel with Heritage Expeditions.
Heritage Expeditions continues to closely monitor COVID-19 pandemic and the safety and wellbeing of its guests, expedition team and crew continues to be one of the company’s top priorities.
“In the world of expedition voyaging we are used to facing the challenges that nature throws at us, and still finding a way to succeed and enjoy,” says Mr Bowen. “This situation is no different.”
