Amadeus Imperial Christened in Amsterdam

Shipbuilding: AMADEUS Imperial, river cruise ship

Amadeus River Cruises introduced its newest ship, the Amadeus Imperial, during a christening ceremony in Amsterdam. Amadeus co-founder Martina Lueftner was the ship’s godmother.

She christened the vessel along with her husband and company co-founder Wolfgang Lueftner and their three daughters.

The Amadeus Imperial is the 15th vessel in the Amadeus fleet. Currently, however, the Austria based company is sailing just six ships due to Europe’s Covid-19-related ban on American travelers.

The Amadeus Imperial will cruise the Danube, Rhine, Main and the Dutch & Belgian waterways. The ship has 12 suites and 72 cabins. Most of the cabins feature drop-down panoramic windows while the suites have outdoor balconies with seating areas.
