Port of Ancona: MSC Fantasia opens the 2022 Cruise season
The port of Ancona has welcomed MSC Fantasia for its maiden call on April 10th.
Every Sunday until the 4th of September (22 calls), cruise passengers can choose to autonomously discover Ancona, its Old Port area, the heritage, and its natural parks above the sea or to take advantage of the excursions organized by the MSC shipping company to discover Marche region.
“Cruises are a fundamental asset for the strategic development of the port of Ancona as the touristic gateway for discovering Marche Region– says Vincenzo Garofalo, President of the Central Adriatic Ports Authority. An opportunity that, to be seized, needs adequate infrastructures and we are working on it, in collaboration with the local Institutions”.
Cruises will have a prominent role in the port of Ancona’s summer season. 44 calls are scheduled from spring to December 2022.
