Elfride Covarrubias V.– Market Area Manager, DNV
Eric Gerritsen – Director Public Affairs, Costa Crociere
Francesco Magagnoli – Head of European Policies Office, Ravenna Port Authority
Panayotis G. Zacharioudakis – Managing Director, OceanFinance, member of EALING coordination team
Moderator: Anthony La Salandra – Director, Risposte Turismo

LNG and SSE are the solutions that are being most focused on to reduce the environmental impacts of maritime transport, but today in the Adriatic there is no port in which one or the other of them is already available.

Who is investing in this direction? What are the short-term prospects? To what extent will making these options available be fundamental for the competitiveness of the Adriatic as a maritime tourism destination?

The discussion concluded that cruise companies are looking not only at the possibility of producing energy on board, but also at using more environmental solutions. Valeria explained that the Association has done a study on LNG and its now starting a study on cold ironing in order to have data that we will put on the website in order to indicate which ports in the partnership are starting to build OP systems.
