Hapag-Lloyd Orders Third Hanseatic Expedition Ship




Coming off a strong first-half performance in 2018, TUI Group said its board had approved a third Hanseatic-class newbuild for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The 230-guest ship will join the Hapag-Lloyd fleet from VARD in 2021, following the Hanseatic Nature and Inspiration, which will be delivered next year. (cruiseindustrynews.com)

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will hold the naming ceremony for its second expedition ship, the HANSEATIC inspiration, on 13 October 2019 against the backdrop of the Belgian port city of Antwerp. It will be the first time in the city’s history that an ocean-going cruise ship has been christened in Antwerp.
