IAATO and Argentine authorities step up collaborative efforts to promote responsible tourism

Improvements to Ushuaia Port services and future collaboration between the Antarctic cruise industry and the Argentinian government were discussed last week at a meeting organized by the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) and the Fuegian Institute of Tourism (In.Fue.Tur).

IAATO members vote to develop an Antarctic conservation plan

IAATO operators agree to ban the recreational use of UAVs in Antarctica’s coastal areas

International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) members have agreed that, for the 2015-16 season, they will not allow the recreational use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the unique, and often wildlife rich, coastal areas of Antarctica.

Antarctic Search and Rescue Exercise conducted by IAATO and the Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand
