Lisbon Awaits Outcome Of Competition Authority Deliberations



The consortium – Global Liman Isletmeleri (40%), Grupo Sousa Investimentos (30%), Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (20%) and Creuers del Port de Barcelona (10%) – with the concession to build and operate a new terminal at Santa Apolonia in Lisbon, Portugal, is being analysed by the competition authority with the hope that contracts will be signed in May.

Lisbon Interporting Up By 173%

Port of Lisbon Continues to Grow

Portuguese Ports Ends Year: 1 Million Passengers



The Portuguese cruise ports expect to end 2010 with over 1 million passengers and about 770 cruise calls, according to the Port of Lisbon. If these figures are confirmed this will be a record year for cruise business in Portugal representing an increase of 15% in terms of cruise passengers and 8% regarding the calls.
