Strong gains in Port Canaveral’s cruise business are expected to help boost the port’s overall revenue by 8.5% and profits by 13.1% for the budget year that begins Oct. 1. Port Canaveral commissioners on Wednesday unanimously approved a budget for fiscal 2019-20 that projects $118.31 million in revenue, including $89.79 million from cruise operations. Six cruise ships and thousands of passengers sailed into Port Canaveral Thursday, one day after the port reopened after Hurricane Dorian passed through the area.
