British cruise ship arrives in Norfolk on Boxing Day

Spirit of Discovery (Courtesy Meyer Werf)Touted as “Britain’s newest cruise ship,” the United Kingdom-based Spirit of Discovery docked in Norfolk for the first time for a port visit. The ship brought 1,000 passengers stateside, who spent the traditional English holiday touring local attractions and destinations, including the British-themed Dickens’ Christmas Towne located inside the cruise terminal. Saga travel firm blames partner for ‘exclusively for Brits’ cruise brochure

Spirit of Discovery  (Credit Zoe Ayton - Portland Harbour Authority Portland Harbour Authority)Over-50s travel company Saga (SAGA.L) on Thursday blamed its partner Cruise.co.uk for a brochure that advertised one of its cruises as “exclusively for Brits.” In tweets responding to outraged customers, the company said that it was “not a Saga brochure.” “Our partners at Cruise.co.uk are extremely sorry for any offence the inaccuracy in their leaflet may have caused.” (finance.yahoo.com)
