TUI Cruises to Acquire Hapag-Lloyd Cruises

Hapag Lloyd Cruises (Logo)TUI AG announced that has reached an agreement today to contribute its 100% subsidiary Hapag-Lloyd Cruises into TUI Cruises, a 50:50 joint venture owned by TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises, valuing it at 1.2 billion euro on a debt and cash free basis, with an expected net cash consideration of approximately 700 million euro, according to a statement. TUI AG’s cruise operations continued strong performance in third quarter

The cruise operations of TUI AG, the German travel company that is listed in London, continued their strong performance in the third quarter of the company/s financial year. “All three brands continue to deliver growth. In Q3 2019, all three cruise brands operated by the Group continued their growth roadmap and delivered a significant increase in their operating results. TUI Cruises is featuring tattoo artist Chris Krafft and colleagues from B. Liberty Tattoo in Hamburg aboard Mein Schiff 2 throughout May. TUI acquires three river ships for new UK focused venture

Mein Schiff Herz Heading to South Africa for 2020-2021 Season

TUI Cruises has announced that the Mein Schiff Herz will sail in South Africa from November 2020 to March 2021. Fourteen-day roundtrip sailings from Cape Town will call in Port Elizabeth and Nambia and include overnight stays, extensive land programs, including a safari excursion, in addition to sea days. Mein Schiff Herz Sails Maiden Voyage

Mein Schiff Herz started her maiden voyage over the weekend from Palma de Mallorca after spending two weeks in drydock in Marseilles. According to TUI Cruises, interior work included changing the Richards Fein Essen restaurant to an Italian venue, La Spezia. (cruiseindustrynews.com)
